27 Months and Counting...

Our bouncing baby boy has now turned into a terrific toddler. Luca is now 27 months old and I truly believe that he thinks life began at two. He now talks up a storm, runs, jumps, climbs and TALKS BACK! Each and every day Dan and I got to bed and chuckle at at least one funny thing he did or said that day.

Here are a few of his highlights:
"Big Boy Style"- This is a universal term for whatever task he would like to accomplish in an adult fashion. Drinking water "big boy style", getting in his booster seat "big boy style", eating an apple "big boy style" (it's the entire apple- if I didn't watch him, I swear he would eat the core!), using the potty "big boy style".

"Luca do it"- This is another attempt at independence. There are certain things that I will try and help him with--he will exclaim "Luca do it" and try to do it himself. Shoes, socks, puzzles, door handles, getting water from the dispenser in the door, getting in his car seat, in and out of the bathtub.

Why Otzo You Ask?

As many of you well know, my husband has a strong desire to keep everything "secure" thus we could not have a blog that contained both our first and last name. After much debate about what to call our blog we came up with "Otzo" which is what Luca lovingly calls his baby brother, Enzo.

Something containing the dogs names "Frankie and Rocket" really came in as a close second. Don't ever tell them though that they have been left out of the blog. I am sure they are already suspicious about their rank in our house now. I promise they still get to lie on my couch, but I am sure they dream about the old days (listen dogs, we sometimes dream too!).

If you had asked me a year ago if I would ever have a blog, I would have told you that you are crazy. Well, here I am, creating a blog. This is not just any blog, this is a blog about our family and what we are up to. If you had asked me that I thought this was way too domestic and supermomish- I would have said yes. Now, I have come to realize that with two little kiddos, it might be the only way anyone ever gets to know what is going on and what we are up to. Since Enzo has arrived talking on the phone and sending emails in a timely fashion are just memories.

So, here it is. Our first "Family" blog entry.

This past weekend we celebrated Dan's graduation from Baylor.

We also had a little "fort" time on Sunday. The "fort" is really just a sheet over our dinning room table, but Luca loves it.
